PSYCHEDELIC ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY

Psychedelic assisted therapy has been emerging in the mental field as a new form of care for various conditions such as depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress as well as existential angst and anxiety for those facing death. What makes psychedelic therapy unique is that it combines the drug/substance/medicine with an added human element (care provider), a vital component to the creation of safety and connection.

The process during a psychedelic therapy session affects the mind in a different way than in a traditional talk or even somatic based therapy. The combination of the psychedelic medicine and the person in the room is of the utmost importance as having safety depends on the relationship with the therapist.

At this time, Ketamine is the only legal psychedelic compound approved by the FDA in the state of New York. I am trained in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), and I offer it as an optional, integrative part of the healing process—especially for those affected by relational trauma and post traumatic stress, exploring identity, depression, as well as those navigating life threatening illness facing existential distress. Psychedelic experience is a unique way to explore not only psychological but also psycho-spiritual questions.

I offer a non-judgmental space for people interested in having a conversation about psychedelic medicines and the potential they bring to healing that includes an honest inquiry regarding safe and responsible psychedelic use, preparation and integration.
